A quick step-by-step guide on how to add your Instagram feed to your email design

If you want to show some social proof in your marketing emails, our Instagram block is just what you're looking for.

Some of our email templates contain the Instagram block already. But if you come across a template that doesn't have it or you start your email from scratch, here's how to add the Instagram block.

First, integrate your Instagram account under Account settings > Integrations.

This ensures a connection between Flodesk and Instagram so that they can 'see' each other.

Important: Meta (the parent company of Facebook and Instagram), has announced that they will stop supporting the Instagram Basic Display API on December 4, 2024.

This API is used by many websites and services, including Flodesk, to show Instagram feeds in emails via the Instagram block. After this date, Instagram will have new requirements to display an Instagram feed and will no longer support personal Instagram accounts for this purpose.

If you use Flodesk and have a personal Instagram account, you will need to change your account to a public Business or Creator account in Instagram to display your feed in your Flodesk emails.

Additionally, if you used a personal Instagram account previously, these Instagram changes will mean you’ll need to reauthorize your account in Flodesk under Account settings > Integrations after you set up your Business or Creator account.

Step 1. Hover over an existing block in your email design. A plus (+) sign will appear above and below it.

Step 2. Click on the plus (+) sign and then select the Instagram block.

Step 3. You should see the latest posts from your Instagram feed appear in the email.

You can further customize the look of your Instagram feed under the Block tab in the settings panel:

• Set a Background color

• Change the Grid & aspect ratio

• Adjust the padding

If you want to add your Instagram feed to your email, first, connect your Instagram account under My Account > Integrations.

Next, add an Instagram block to your email where you want your latest Instagram posts to appear.
