Video guide: How to authenticate a domain automatically in Namecheap

This guide walks you through how to automatically authenticate your custom domain in Flodesk if your domain is registered with Namecheap. Automatic authentication uses Entri, a third-party service that connects to your domain provider and adds your DKIM, SPF, and DMARC records for you, without any manual DNS editing.

How to automatically authenticate your domain in Namecheap using the Entri integration:

1. Log in to your Flodesk account.

2. Navigate to My Account > Domain setup.

1. On your domain card, click Authenticate now.

2. Select Automatically authenticate.

3. Click Continue.

When prompted, log in to your Namecheap account.

If asked, enter the verification code sent to your email address and click Continue.

Entri will automatically add your DKIM, SPF, and DMARC records to your Namecheap account. Once it's done, you'll be redirected back to My Account > Domain setup in Flodesk.

Your domain card will show as Pending after the setup is complete. This is expected.

Come back after 24 to 48 hours to confirm your domain has been successfully authenticated.

DNS changes don't take effect right away. Here's what to expect after setup:

• Full verification can take up to 48 hours.

• Your domain status will show as Pending in the meantime.

• It's common to see DKIM and DMARC verify first, while SPF takes a little longer. A Partially authenticated status during this window is completely normal.

You don't need to repeat the setup steps or re-enter any records while propagation is in progress.

What is Entri and why does Flodesk use it?
Entri is a third-party service that connects directly to your domain provider and adds your authentication records automatically. It's the quickest way to get your domain verified, since you don't have to find or edit any DNS settings yourself.

What records does Entri add to my Namecheap account?
Entri adds three types of authentication records: DKIM, SPF, and DMARC. These are required by major inbox providers like Gmail and Yahoo to confirm your emails are legitimate and coming from you.

Why does my domain show as "Pending" after the setup is complete?
DNS changes take time to propagate across the internet, up to 48 hours. A Pending status right after setup is completely normal and doesn't mean anything went wrong. Check back after 24 to 48 hours.

I'm seeing "Partially authenticated" after setup. Do I need to redo anything?
No. Partial authentication during the propagation window is common. DKIM and DMARC records typically verify faster, while SPF can take longer. You don't need to go through the setup steps again. Just give it time and check back.

My domain still isn't verified after 48 hours. What should I do?
