Flodesk will be working with Stripe Express to issue 1099 tax documentation to qualifying US Flodesk customers who have received payments using Flodesk Checkout.
Stripe has informed us of the following tax requirements in 2023—
December 2023: You will receive an email from Stripe to verify your details. We strongly suggest opting into paperless delivery to ensure you receive your 1099 quickly.
Before January 5th, 2024: Confirm your tax information (i.e. name, address, and TIN) is correct via Stripe Express.
Before January 18th, 2024: Last day to opt-in to paperless delivery to receive your 1099 tax form electronically via Stripe Express.
On January 31st, 2024:
Your 1099 tax form will be available to download via Stripe Express if you have agreed to paperless delivery. Otherwise, it will be mailed to your address. Please allow up to 10 business days for mail delivery.
Stripe will file your 1099 tax form with the IRS and relevant state tax authorities.
What is a 1099-K tax form?
The 1099-K form summarizes the sales activity of your account. It will be provided to you and the IRS, as well as some US states, if you processed more than $20,000 and have had more than 200 transactions in 2023.
Will I be getting tax documentation?
For the 2023 tax year, the IRS has announced the 1099-K filing threshold will be required if a taxpayer receives over $20,000 and has more than 200 transactions.

This means if you used Flodesk Checkout in 2023 and met the stated qualifiers, then you should expect to receive a 1099-K tax form from Stripe Express, Flodesk’s payment partner.
What do I need to do to get my 1099-K tax documentation?
To get your tax forms, you will need to confirm your information is correct and up to date in your Stripe Express account.
This will include verifying information like your name, address, and Taxpayer Identification Number so that your 1099 tax form is accurate and sent to the right place.
I didn’t receive an email from Stripe—what should I do?
Please double check your spam or junk mail folder for an email with the subject line “Get your Flodesk 2023 tax forms faster by enabling e-delivery.”

When and where can I expect my 1099-K tax form?
Your 1099-K tax form will be ready on 31st of January. If you meet the filing thresholds above, Stripe will send you a link to access your 1099 tax form if you opted into paperless delivery. Otherwise, you can expect to receive a paper form via mail.
Do I have to file my 1099-K form?
No—Stripe will file on your behalf to the IRS and any applicable States.
Why haven’t I received my 1099-K paper form in the mail?
Please allow up to 10 business days from the 31st Jan. If you still haven’t received it, please contact Stripe Express at https://support.stripe.com/express/contact/email
Note: If you did not consent to paperless delivery, you will not be able to download your 1099-K tax form through the Tax Forms tab of Stripe Express. You will only receive a copy of the 1099-K form mailed to the address on file.
Can I receive my 1099 Tax Form electronically?
Yes, you must opt-in to paperless delivery to receive your 1099 tax form electronically via Stripe Express by January 18th, 2024. If you choose this option, Stripe will email you to let you know when your 1099 tax form is available as an electronic copy for download.
The Stripe Express Dashboard is where you can grant e-delivery consent, download the 1099 tax forms, and update your tax information.
