Uploading your Shopify contacts via a CSV

If you're about to upload your Shopify contacts via a CSV instead of using our direct integration, follow the eCommerce related guidelines from How do I move my subscriber list from my old provider to Flodesk.

Each eCommerce platform, like WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Shopify typically includes a separate data field, usually a tick box that is not pre-checked, where customers can request to be added to your email list when they make a purchase.

This data should be available for export, so make sure to include it into your CSV export and only upload customers who consented to get marketing emails from you.

Summary

To integrate your Shopify store to Flodesk, go to your My Account area > Integrations and Click to connect to your store.

This creates a new segment in Flodesk named after your Shopify store and pulls in all current and new customers who have opted in for email marketing automatically.

Alternatively, you can upload Shopify contacts via a CSV upload. In this case, make sure to only export and upload customers who consented to get marketing emails from you.
