How can I update a subscriber’s email address?
Overview
It's not possible to edit a subscriber's email address directly in Flodesk. You may notice the email address field is grayed out when viewing a subscriber's profile: this is intentional. Editing an email address directly causes data issues with the history and actions tied to that subscriber's record.
The good news is there's a straightforward workaround: add the subscriber again with their new email address, then unsubscribe the old one. It takes just a couple of minutes.
How to update a subscriber's email address
Step 1: Add the subscriber with their new email address
Go to Audience and click All Subscribers
Click Add subscriber
Fill in their details using the new email address and save
Step 2: Find and unsubscribe the old email address
Go to Audience and click All Subscribers
Click the search icon at the top of the page
Type in the old email address (or the subscriber's name) to find them
Open their profile and unsubscribe them
The subscriber will now exist in your Audience under their new email address, and the old address will be unsubscribed.
